Examınatıon Of The Relatıonshıp Of Psychologıcal Resılıence Wıth Depressıon And Death Anxıety In Bone Cancer Patıents

In this study it was aimed to examine the relationship between psychological resilience and depression and death anxiety in bone cancer patients. The study group in the research consists of 40 people diagnosed with bone cancer between the ages of 18-25. Informed consent form and demographic information form were given to the participants, and the Adult Resilience Scale, Beck Depression Inventory and Turkish Death Anxiety Inventory were administered and research data were obtained. According to the results of the research, it was observed that as the psychological resilience levels of our participants diagnosed with bone cancer increased, the level of depression and death uncertainty decreased. Research findings showed that there is a significant difference between death anxiety and metastasis development status of cancer patients. This study showed that there was no significant difference between the status of receiving radiotherapy and chemotherapy and the death anxiety, depression and psychological resilience of the patients. In addition, the research findings showed that there was no significant difference between the status of receiving help from a psychologist or psychiatrist before, death anxiety, depression and resilience. In the light of this study and looking at other studies in the literature, it is important to conduct more detailed research on this subject in order to better determine the mental status of people with bone cancer and to understand their psychological needs.
