Abstract

In this study, the mind-body relationship will be explained based on the concept of human in Brauch Spinoza's philosophy system. The concept of man exists as a mode in the general field of existence. In this case, even if we find the mind-body integrity as a determined structure, it has been examined to which theories this situation will correspond to in the current philosophy of mind. The importance of Spinoza both in terms of philosophy of mind and existing theories has been tried to be revealed. In terms of being the source of modern philosophy of mind, western philosophy considers Descartes among the founders of the modern period. Undoubtedly, the school that develops from the structure that is defended by him shapes today's philosophy. However, it is necessary to return to the study of Spinoza, both because he was able to close the 'deficiencies' in Descartes' philosophy, such as how the body and mind interaction took place, and because he created an alternative source philosophy with his own unique style. In this way, mental phenomenology will provide new
data to solve today's problems such as the mind issue of artificial intelligence. In these days when the postmodern era we live in undoubtedly needs new perspectives, examining the cornerstones of the history of philosophy with today's concepts stands as a way to illuminate the way to tomorrow
